THERA
Gantry Milling Machines for the Most Demanding Applications
The ZAYER THERA is a gantry-style milling machine with a fixed table and fixed crossbeam—designed for the demanding machining of large, heavy, and geometrically complex workpieces. With its high-quality solid-cast construction, powerful drives, and a wide range of milling heads, the THERA delivers maximum performance for both single-piece and production runs.

Scope of Work
Table lengths up to 20,500 mm, table widths up to 4,000 mm, and a column spacing of 3,000 to 5,000 mm—for machining even very wide and long workpieces.
Travel distances
A longitudinal stroke of up to 20,000 mm, a transverse stroke of up to 5,750 mm, and a vertical stroke of up to 2,000 mm provide ample space for large components.
Powerful
Standard output of 43 kW at 6,000 min⁻¹—optionally available with high-frequency spindles for higher speeds. Suitable for rough machining as well as the finest finishing operations.
Design
The machine bed, column, crossbeam, and bridge, all made of high-quality cast iron, ensure excellent structural rigidity and thermal stability—even during long machining cycles.
Sturdy
Longitudinal axis with rack-and-pinion drive and dual pinions (two motors); transverse and vertical axes with ball screws—for powerful, dynamic, and precise movements.
Versatile
Angled milling heads, 30° and 45° heads, straight milling heads, high-frequency spindles, and automatic head-changing systems—for complex geometries and hard-to-reach surfaces.
Use
Ideal for mechanical and plant engineering, energy and rail vehicle manufacturing, and heavy industry—for both individual parts and mass production with the highest precision requirements.
